This past June, four teenagers from Phoenix’s poorest neighborhoods entered an underwater robotics contest sponsored by NASA and the Office of Naval Research. The high school students in question are all undocumented Mexican immigrants, and they went up against the best MIT and a number of other universities had to offer.
